CLA Elevates the Laundry Industry
CLA’s inaugural ELEVATE conference was a success with more than 80 store owners representing over 300 store and laundry industry professionals from across the country to navigate the changes facing the industry while fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.
Panel presentations and roundtable discussions were held on topics, including:
Scaling up your business
Building your management team
Disruption in the industry
Wealth management and exit strategies
Embracing new technology
Presenters Alaa El-Banna, a store owner from N.J. and Jason Sowell from The Laundry Project shared how they have made a difference in their communities through the laundromat and invited owners in attendance to join their efforts.
The goal of the conference was to bring the industry together to network and share best practices. Attendees had many opportunities to do this through meals, receptions, and dinner gatherings. CLA celebrated our 60th anniversary during the Thursday night reception and guests enjoyed good food, drinks and conversation during the festivities.
The event can be summed up by one attendee’s comment: “Everything about this event was amazing. The venue, the food, the panels, the networking, the CLA staff. It was tremendous and I look forward to the next event!”
“CLA put on not only the best laundry/dry cleaning related conference I have ever been to, but the best conference period! From the speakers, to the content, to the networking, it was all 5 stars and of the highest quality. This event single handedly changed our point of view on the industry in general and makes us feel incredibly hopeful for where we are all headed! We can’t wait to be back again next year!”
